Deepen Your Connection to the Southeast Greenway
Frederick Law Olmstead, considered the father of landscape architecture and co-designer of New York’s Central Park, recognized the importance of green spaces where people could spend time in nature, unwind and find inner peace. Throughout the month of May, the Southeast Greenway will host free activities designed to foster wellbeing, along with deepening connection to the natural environment and Santa Rosa’s newest park.
Community in Nature: Gentle Yoga
May 7, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Devorah Blum, whose technique is most influenced by her study with senior Iyengar Yoga teachers, including BKS Iyengar, will offer a nurturing, gentle yoga class outdoors at the Greenway. Sponsored by Sonoma Land Trust; registration required.
Bike-in Block Party
May 10, 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Bike, walk or roll to the City of Santa Rosa-sponsored Bike-in Block Party in Courthouse Square. We’ll be at this free family-friendly event getting the word out about the Southeast Greenway, so stop by and say hello! More information here.
Community in Nature: Sound Healing
May 21, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Amelia Belle and Bob Rudorf will use crystal sound bowls and other instruments to cultivate a deep sense of tranquility and a greater connection to nature at the Greenway. Sponsored by Sonoma Land Trust; registration required.

May 28, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Jenny Harrow-Keeler, a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, will lead a guided sensory and mindfulness-based immersion in nature at the Greenway. Sponsored by Sonoma Land Trust; registration required.
