Why The Southeast Greenway Supports Prop 4
Climate resiliency is increasingly urgent, and California Proposition 4 addresses the issue by proposing bonds to support safe drinking water, drought and wildfire prevention, and protecting communities and natural lands from risks of extreme weather events. The Southeast Greenway is part of the picture, with goals to mitigate heat islands right here in Santa Rosa. We hope that by restoring native habitat and planting many more trees; providing an active transportation corridor for bikes and pedestrians; and developing places to play and enjoy nature we can foster adaptation in our own community.
