How do you design a park that reflects the diverse communities it will serve? That’s where the Southeast Greenway Community Design Council comes in. Nominated by community members, the design council is made up of 15 locals who will, over the course of a year, work to imagine, visualize, and advocate for a greenway reflecting the needs, aspirations, and lived experiences of Santa Rosa’s diverse communities, particularly those who have historically been left out of placemaking.
All council members are people who live, work, study, or play in Santa Rosa. They all bring local knowledge, lived experience, and are excited to participate in meaningful dialogue, arts-based activities, and joyful, hands-on workshops that elevate the needs, ideas, and dreams of our community.
